Is this DS Game Maker Specific?

No. The Acekard 2i & MicroSD card are designed to be compatible with all homebrew, including DS Game Maker games. It may be used to run all existing DS homebrew that can be found on the internet, whether created using pure libnds or with the assistance of the PAlib library.

We are also targeting an audience interested in the homebrew scene and playing the games, but have no interest for making their own games or even using DS Game Maker (though this is of course where it works best).

Can it run Commercial games?

The included Acekard is distributed for homebrew use only. You can use the flashcart as you wish, including for piracy, but we do not condone or endorse this in any way. We cannot support users who use a DS Homebrew Kit to pirate commercial DS games. We take piracy very seriously.

Unfortunately we cannot stop users from using the Homebrew Kits for piracy, but our message against this as an illegal and immoral activity is clear.

I already have a flashcart. What's different here?

If you already have a working flashcart then you do not need this. However there are some distinct advantages of the DS Homebrew Kit:

Is this legal?

This and all flashcarts are legal. The Acekard included in the DS Homebrew Kit can be seen to be more moral as its intents are for game development only.

With the consumer rights that you have as an owner of a Nintendo DS console, you are allowed to do whatever you like with the hardware, that is now yours. This includes the development of unlicensed software for personal use, and the use of a medium to do so.

Can I get a Refund?

If the product does not work, we will help you try to fix it. If it is determined that there is a physical problem with the Kit then we will send you a replacement Kit or broken part for free until there is no more issue. Instead of receiving this help you can also request a Refund, in which case you will have to post the Kit back to us (at your cost), and we will then refund all of your money.

Should the product work but you decide that you do not want it, you can send the product back to us within 50 days (at your cost) for a complete refund.

If you bought a Serial code and then receive a refund, the Serial code will be removed and you will not be able to use it any more. We request that you send the product back to us so that you cannot lie about it not working to receive a refund but continue to use it, and so that we can investigate any technical faults.

Is there a bulk purchase scheme?

We can ship carts to you in any amounts for the purposes of class learning, education and other related uses, at a discount price. Please contact us for details.

Do you assemble these Kits?

Yes. We order the individual components from suppliers, assemble the Kits, and then post them to you. This gives us the opportunity to check that each individual kit works properly, and that we can also load the Acekard 2i firmware and sample games onto the Memory card for you, so that you can use it straight away. As every Kit is checked before sending, you will never receive a knowingly faulty product.
